The Seymour Panther was gifted to Jane Seymour, third wife to King Henry VIII, upon her marriage to the king. Jane Seymour replaced Anne Boleyn as Queen and Consort to King Henry VIII and was gifted the image of the panther as her new arms and badge.

The obverse of 2022 5 oz Proof British Silver Tudor Beasts Seymour Panther Coins features an image of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is England’s longest-reigning monarch and is approaching her record-setting Platinum Jubilee in 2022. The Queen is shown here in right–profile relief wearing the George IV State Diadem. Created by Jody Clark, this effigy was designed in 2015 and is the fifth-generation portrait of Her Majesty to grace British coins during her reign.
