Among them, you’ll find a 1 oz silver coin with a mintage cap of 500,000 coins, and 10 oz and 1 kilo weights with unlimited mintage figures. The Perth Mint will strike the 10 oz and 1 kilo silver coins for no more than 12 months to meet demand during that time.

All 2019 1 Kilo Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and housed inside of protective plastic capsules. Designed by Jody Clark, the obverse face of the Silver Kookaburra in 2019 features the first new design of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II since 1998 when the Ian Rank-Broadley design arrived on Australian coinage.

The obverse side of 2019 1 Kilo Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. She wears the Royal Diadem crown upon her head and has the Victorian coronation necklace around her neck. This is the sixth different effigy of Her Majesty to feature on Australian coins since 1952 when she ascended to the throne and comes from Jody Clark. Mr. Clark designed the fifth-generation design currently in use on British coinage from the Royal Mint.

This sixth-generation design of Queen Elizabeth II maintains the common right-profile portrait, but is unique in a different way. For the first time since 1966, the Queen’s shoulders and neckline are visible on a portrait on Australian coinage.

On the reverse face of 2019 Australian Silver Kookaburra coins, you’ll find the image of the largest member of the kingfisher species sitting on the branch of a sunken tree. Across the lake, the sun sets in the distance as its rays reflect across the ripples of the water.
